I was blessed to be raised in the church and taught the importance of attending and being involved at an early age. I accepted the Lord as my Savior in Sunday School when I was very young, but didn’t fully understand it. It wasn’t until middle school that my faith became real to me. In 6th grade I met a girl who also professed to be a Christian, but she was different. She was actually living like one! This challenged me and encouraged me to make my faith my own and pursue a relationship with the Lord instead of just going through the motions.

That same friend and I started a YFC club in our middle school and led it for 3 years together. I was also active in my youth group and a Christian camp called Camp Joy El throughout middle and high school. This involvement was so vital to my growing relationship with the Lord. I attended Indiana Wesleyan University and ended up settling in Frederick, MD after graduation.

I’ve been married to my husband, Frankie, for 5 years and we have a one year old son, Elliot. We love spending time together as a family, laughing hysterically at precious thing our son says and does, and watching crime shows or old seasons of Survivor together. I try to be as active as possible (I wouldn’t say I love working out although I do value it!), but I also enjoy a good stay-at-home-and-do-nothing-day.

After no involvement with YFC since 8th grade, I am excited and honored to be a part of what the Lord is doing through YFC here in Central Maryland!
